Only 6wks and already took a glucose test

DB

I'm 37yo and have a high BMI. This is my first pregnancy (after several years trying and it just happened!). I'm 6 weeks today. My first appt is next week so I just had all my lab work done which included the glucose test (I'm assuming it's due to age and weight). I saw the results via email and I completely failed. I've always been on the high end of the A1C tests but never over and doctors have never intervene or been concerned. I'm devastated now because since 2016 whem my mom passed and I gained 70lbs and I've been struggling to lose anything. I've basically maintained the same weight for 7 years. I did lose 30lbs right before covid then my gallbladder gave out and the weight slowly came back on. I've been trying to eat better because I don't usually eat breakfast. Depending on the day I might not eat enough. So finding out that there's a good chance I have GD I'm definitely scared because I know I don't eat enough. Has anyone else had the glucose test at 6 weeks? Any suggestions on how to force myself to eat more frequently before I lose my appetite? Any tips for when I take the longer glucose test?
