What type of home do you live in?

I live in an apartment with my husband and 1 1/2 year old with baby number 2 on the way. We all sleep in the same room. I have such a hard time keeping our small space clean.

Sometimes I see posts on Instagram where other moms are like “this is not the time to have a clean house, or nice home decor, or organized blah blah blah, this is a time for children to grow” all the while, their video is showing their kids in a nice ass clean house, with nice decor and organization and yatta yatta. 🙄

And I look at my place and I’m like “yeah now is not the time, but it’d sure be nice to have a house with more space for our things to be organized and more space for our children to grow. 😩

Part of my asking is because my husband keeps talking about wanting to get a house. And how he doesn’t want our kids to have to grow up in an apartment. We both grew up in a house when we were younger. My mom got a house when I was three and his parents had a house too. I’d love to have a house for my children, but I’ve been reading about how terrible rates are right now. Also homes in our state are ridiculously high priced. For comparison, back in 1997 when my mom bought our 4 bedroom home on .27 acres, it only cost $145,000. Now if you find a house for that much it’s like 100 years old and falling apart...
