Can I feed formula past 1 year of age??

My baby is not a big eater of solid foods. It was a slow start and barely ate any until 9 months because he got a lot of reflux and discomfort with solids and that made him become picky. He’s nearly 1 but still needs 3 bottles per day to keep up his calories bc he’s just not eating enough solids yet. We have come a LONG way from where we were and he is eating a few meals each day but I’m certain he will lose weight if I just stop formula at 1. He is allergic to cows milk protein. Can I keep feeding formula last 1 year of age? Is it still ok to give him bottles for a little while until he eats more? And how long can I do that for or is it ok to just feed bottles until he is able to eat enough solids?

Also can someone please kindly give me a sample eating schedule with the AMOUNTS of foods that is normal for a 1 year old? I’m really not sure what the goal is so I know he’s having “enough” and don’t want to stop the formula too early in case weight loss happens.

He often only has a few bites and plays with the foods, and uses a spoon but again only has a few bites here and there. I can get him to sip on a small cup of smoothie or soup puree more than he will eat with a spoon or fingers, but it’s very small quantities. We switched to keeping mealtimes fun without pressure to eat so much because he was feeling the stress of us trying to push more foods and then started refusing everything, so now we let him explore the foods and enjoy the mealtime which on one hands is positive, but on the other hand the intake is just not adequate. If anyone can help please do bc this has been a MASSIVE stressor for months and months, and I watched my baby lose so much weight before just leaning back on a mainly formula diet and now he is healthy again. I feel so crap that he’s nearly one and still not eating well.
