Period back with a vengeance. HELP!!!

So I had my son 10/7/21. I’m still breastfeeding and I just got my period back a few months ago. This is the longest my period has taken to come back after pregnancy (he was my third). Now that it’s back it’s horrendous. Last month when I had it I bled worse than I ever have in my life. The cramps start 4 days before my period comes. I have diarrhea the entire time I have my period and I am completely wiped out. I have an OB appt in a few weeks for my yearly check up and I plan to bring this up to her. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced periods like this or them getting worse after pregnancy?
