Laser hair removal

Hey! 
I want to know if anyone has ever tried an affordable Laser at home. I cant afford to go to a professional, so I decided to look online and get my own tool. I realised there are some that are +400€ and there are also some which cost maximum around 70€. Have you guys had any experience with IPL at home? Does it work? 
If so which tool did you guys use? 
(I have light skin and very thick dark hair)

At home products like IPLs will reduce hair but not remove it. I work at a laser hair removal clinic, the lasers we use remove hair, but many things can affect hair growth (hormones, pregnancy, menopause, etc).
