Vbac?

I had an emergency C-section for baby #3 few weeks ago, I feel like I was robbed of my birth, I’m so glad we are both okay but emotional this is really hard for me to accept. I plan on having a 4th in about two years and want to definitely try for a vbac I want to know if anyone was successful after having a C-section?

I am sorry that you feel that way, it’s very common. My first was a scheduled CS for breech and I felt like that for a period of a time too! You’ll definitely want to wait at least 18 months before conceiving again. Whenever you are pregnant again, you’ll need to see what your risks are and what your local resource are at that time to determine if it’s safe. Remember - a CS is NOT the “worst” outcome. There could be much worse outcomes.
I had a VBAC with my second. Just remember that a VBAC places all the risk on baby in the hopes of avoiding a surgery for mom. There are very legitimate reasons to want a VBAC, but having one specifically to try to heal trauma is BAD idea. It’s not fair to baby and could actually result in MORE trauma. If you continue to have difficulties processing your birth, I would strongly suggest therapy instead.

Make sure you have a provider who not only is ok with VBACs on a policy level but is fully supportive of your choices. When an emergency c-section left me feeling robbed with my 1st in a way similar to what you described, I desperately wanted to attempt a VBAC for
my 2nd who was just born a month ago. I was originally told that yes, I would be a good candidate for it, we discussed the risks of both options, and she said she was good with my decision to try for it. However, as things progressed and there were some “complications” that arose towards the end of pregnancy (I say in quotes because I felt like things were overblown and that’s where the not listening to me started), doctor became less in favor, largely in an attempt to save her own butt I’m sure. Ultimately, I felt completely backed into a corner with no real option but to go with a c-section rather than even attempt labor. Having a “planned” one vs the emergency one the first time WAS very different and left me in a better place, but ultimately there is still a lot of anger/grief that things didn’t go as I’d hoped, and I feel this is largely due to the medical team I had. This is amplified by the fact that this was our last kiddo, so I’m sad I will never experience a vaginal birth. I wish I had trusted my gut and found someplace else to birth when it became clear that I wasn’t truly being supported by my provider. Prayers that you have a better experience and are able to birth the way you hope!
