Anyones LO trained to pee but have a hard time with the poop? My son has done great with peeing on the potty the last month or so but when he has to poop he won’t go in the potty. He will say he’s trying to push but I think he’s just pretending because he’s nervous about it. I’ve tried taking away diapers/pull-ups but he just holds it in for days and that makes me very nervous so I think a more gradual approach is needed for him. Has anyone had this happen, and how long did it take to get through it? Any suggestions are welcome, thank you.

It also doesn’t help that he isn’t the type of kid who poops every day. He has always gone every 2-3 days even before potty training anyway so it’s really hard to get him into a routine where we can get more practice and tries with it.
