Convertible Car Seat Recommendations

Question

My son is 7 months old and 28 inches so I am looking into convertible seat options. He's currently in a Graco Infant seat and I'm not a fan. So the idea of switching to another Graco seat doesn't make me too happy. But spending $400 on a seat that doesn't even turn into a booster also sucks. We are expecting him to be on the taller side so. I'm trying to get the most for my money. Anyone have experience with any of these seats?

My daughter is riding in a Britax One4Life which we love, but it won't fit behind my husbands seat. Trying to plan for baby to grow out of the infant seat before we buy a new car that will fit the One4Life.

I will only buy Britax seats. The click tight install (which you know of because you have the One4Life) is so key to me to have in the event we have to take the seat out. Plus Britax is made in the US. 
I’d go with the Britax Advocate.

We have the Graco Extend2Fit. We like it a lot. My sons been in it since ~2 months old primarily. Just ordered Britax Boulevard to upgrade my car and generally like the click tight concept. Do you have a Buy Buy Baby near you?
