50% effaced, 0 cm dilated… is labor soon?

I’m 36 weeks and got told I’m 50% effaced but not dilated yet. Could labor still come soon? Baby feels so low and I’ve been having Braxton Hicks contracts for days now.

Youre barely 36 weeks… got 4 more weeks to go. Also effacement and dialation dont mean much. You could be 2 cm dialated and 100 %effaced for weeks, doesnt mean baby will come next week or anything. I wouldnt count on going into labor until at least 40 weeks. Let your baby be in there for as long as they need to be.
