Spotting instead of period? PLEASE ADVICE

So for the past two months I’ve been spotting for exactly 8 days. This started in May and it was around the time of my expected period, and then the month of June it started again but it was earlier than expected period but it was 8 days straight once again. It was spotting but do I consider it as just light periods?? Maybe. PLEASE give advice. I have a ob appointment the end of July I just am restless without some advice.
