ZyMot Device for Sperm IUI/IVF
We have had several miscarriages after having my now 4 year old. We got all the testing and one of the last tests for my partner said that his sperm count was great but a further test showed that they were fragmented. I’m now 41 years old, after trying for 3 years, and he is 38. We always assumed it was my age and eggs, but this could be a contributor too. So we just did our first IUI. The doctor suggested we run his sperm though a device called a ZyMot. It’s a neat device or obstacle course that separates the subpar sperm from the more motile and better quality ones. After washing the sperm, we had 265 million and motility rate of 57%. After running them through the ZyMot, we had 53 million (5 times the amount needed for IUI) and the motility rate was 97%. This is just incredible to me. My reason for this post is the get this technology info out there. Ask your doctor about it if you are going through IUI or IVF. I’m feeling really good about this cycle and going to stay positive for my BFP in 2 weeks.
