Is membrane stripping painful?

If you had your membrane stripped, how painful was it?

I had one done with my previous pregnancy. I would say it was uncomfortable & similar pain to a pap, but nothing intolerable.    I would 100% pick this over being medically induced w pitocin like i had with my first.

I find it more uncomfortable than painful my baby is a week old now and I had 3 done

Lots of people say it's not too painful but when this woman doctor was about to do it (I thought she already did) I was already in a huge amount of pain and I said no thanks lmao. So much pain I was sweating
