How early do you show up before a domestic flight ?

Lets say small to mid sized airport thats never crazy busy. Getting thru security takes like 15 mins.

Always at least 2-3 hours early. I do not care if it’s a tiny airport. My anxiety could never. 😅

Really depends on the airport. Large, busy airport with lots of young children and elderly individuals, then 2-3+ hours. We were recently in the Orlando airport on vacation, got there 2.5 hours before our early morning flight, and missed our flight because it took over 1.5 hours to check our bags alone.
Smaller airport? Could be 1-1.5 hours before. In my old city, I was able to get from drop off to the gate in 6 minutes (I timed it 😂). I never got there more than an hour in advance.

I put one hour before departure but that’s only because I’ve done online checkin and don’t have luggage to check in. 
If you’re checking in luggage, I’d say more like an hour and a half. If it’s busy season or a holiday weekend with checkin luggage I’d say two hours.

I know my airport they say three hrs early. Even a small airport I still would never chance it and get here early.

Our airport? 1 hour is fine for domestic, but we also have TSA pre-check. If we’re checking bags, I’ll still get there around 90 minutes. Larger airport? 2 hours, at least. There are some where 3 hours is the minimum.
