Has your kid(s) ever gotten a mild sunburn?

How do you treat it afterwards?

Mild doesn’t really require treatment. I might give them a little aloe gel if I have it on hand, but other than that, it just goes away on its own. My children have never really had anything more than a very mild sunburn because I’m absolutely ruthless about sunscreen when it comes to them. 
If it requires treatment, it’s not mild.

Aloe Vera is my best friend. She's never actually gotten sunburn (2.5) but she gets heat rash wild essily so I lather her in some anyways when we get back inside just in case. The red is always gone within a few hours of being inside. Bonus is she likes lotion so to her its the special green lotion we do after outside time. It's good for your skin in general.

I use aloe if their skin gets even a little pink. And I use sunscreen relentlessly. But they’ve never had a red sun burn, just a bit of “pink” because of our Native American decent mixed with Irish decent 😂 it makes for some strange reactions to the sun

My son never burns. He tans. We use 100 SPF spray sunscreen on him to avoid being sunburnt and we reapply often. I get sunburned because I am fair skinned and I just use aloe. I tan a few days after. I usually use aloe with lidocaine or aloe without alcohol in it.

Usually a tepid bath/shower. Not warm like usual but not ice cold. Just kinda room temp. A sunburn, even mild, will continue to burn the skin until you stop it. Moisturize with non-scented lotion. Keep it protected and avoid exposing it to the sun even more. Mild sunburns are usually pretty quick to go away and don't really require much.
