Hello I’m hoping for advice & support regarding my ivf journey. 💕

I have been pregnant 5 times

First pregnancy was a missed m/c, second pregnancy the fetus stopped growing at 9.5 weeks, third & fourth pregnancies all though extremely high risk ended in my two beautiful daughters being born into this world 👧🏼👧🏻 & sadly my last pregnancy ended being ectopic and resulted in my right fallopian tube. The diagnostic testing during the surgery for the removal of the ectopic showed that my left tube was open, but had slow flow making another ectopic probable. 😣💔

After my last pregnancy ending tragically back in November, my Dr. decided to refer me to the only clinic located in the province I reside in. After a long anticipated wait..I am so happy to finally say we had our first introductory appointment today with the nurse practitioner at the IVF clinic.🎉The clinic seems lovely & I was very pleased with the appointment experience as a whole, but the nurse practitioner was unable to answer a lot of questions based on the fact that she wasn’t going to be the specialist performing the procedure..I was told based on the fact I have proven fertility, & that my spouse & I were able to get pregnant naturally that IVF should be a successful method to grow our family. 💕

I am hoping someone can help answer some of my questions fears, & concerns regarding IVF.

Is a fresh or frozen embryo transfer better?

What are your chances of a successful round if your only outlining infertility factor is tubal related?

What are the pros & cons of genetic testing the embryos? Is it worth the extra cost?

How do you stay sane while waiting for your test results and the outcomes of your egg retrieval, transferring and early pregnancy? 🤯 I already feel like I’m going insane & I am still on the diagnostic testing stage of this process.

Thank you in advance for any tips tricks or advice you have for me 💕💕 It’s greatly appreciated.
