What are the must-have items for a newborn's nursery?

Calling all experienced moms! Let's compile a list of essential items that every newborn's nursery should have. Share your must-haves, from cozy cribs to soothing sound machines, and help first-time moms create a comfortable and nurturing environment for their babies.

White noise machine dont waste money.on a mobile or an expensive crib.

1. Crib (yes they can sleep in this from day 1, a bassinet is handy but not necessary)
2.black out curtains (some babies try to get up the second the light shines in) 
3. Sleep sac 
4.waterproof mattress cover (for leaks)
5. At least 3 sets of sheets (so you aren’t stuck doing laundry in the middle of the night) 
6. Some sort of toy/book storage (I use the ikea kallax and it works great until they’re about 6 and I found they needed something different) 
7. Clothes storage (closet, dresser, bins, under crib storage, etc) 
8. I loved having a change table or if that’s not an option a change basket that includes everything for diaper changes  (especially when they are tiny for diaper storage and so you don’t have to change them on a bed or try and climb down to the floor after giving birth)
9. A bouncy chair ( an absolute life saver for when you want to shower or even cook) 
10. A swing (super helpful but if it’s not in your budget definitely get the chair) 
11. A nail set and booger sucker
12. A baby carrier is super handy (you can get them second hand!)
I never bothered with things like sound machines, and I often put my babies on the floor (carpet or on a thick blanket of course) with some toys to play and it’s worked well for us

3. Swaddles that have a small hole in back for easy diaper checks

7. Night vision baby monitor that beeps with movement (I was scared about the owlet or other versions would hurt her) 
Things I didn’t need:
1. Diaper genie: just get a small can and change it when stinky 
2. Shoes: cute but pointless until they walk I lost so many
3. Mittens and hats: My daughter hates them I just had a beanie for when it was cold and we went outside
4. Mobile that connects to crib: she pulled it down on her face twice 
5. Wipe warmer 
6. Sound machines we just used natural noise (tv, crack windows for birds etc) or our phones when sleeping 
Everything is personal choice please keep that in mind you will find what works for you as a mom what items you like best and which you probably won’t use in the long run it’s a learning experience and no one learns the same because babies are all so different
