I had a leep and cone 11 years ago. A year after I got pregnant 2012 with my so. At 20wks I started to funnel went to hospital until gave birth at 24wks 6days. Was in trendelenburg and progesterone steroid shots. He’s now 10 and amazing. We are blessed. Years later I had a mc April 2022 then got pregnant again august 2022 at 20 wks again I was dilated this time so they did a rescue cerclage I was 3cm dilated at time cerclage was placed a week later I had a leakage. They sent me home because test came back it wasn’t amniotic fluid but it was my water broke with a gush days later and stayed in hospital from 21 wks until she was born at 24 wks 5 days. She lived for only an hour. They said since she didn’t have much water her lungs didn’t mature like they should have. Now I’m pregnant again this one a surprise but very much wanted. This time I got a new ob who listens to me and said I should’ve had cerclage put in earlier. I’m so worried. The plan is the get cerclage put in at 12/13 wks start progesterone at15/16wks. I’m worried about Pprom again among other things. I would love to hear success stories with cerclage that had leep or come or both like i did. When we lost our girl it took a toll on all of us especially her father he really went down hill for a moment. This baby is very much wanted and we would do anything to make sure our baby is safe. I’ve doing alot of research and we were even thinking about transabdominal cerclage. I trust this doctor and trust what he’s saying. If anyone can give me reassurance what I’m doing is the right choice. I would to hear some success stories or reassurance. That’s the plan this time I pray the pregnancy goes well.
