How long to wait to start trying again?

Hey y’all. My youngest is 10 months old and I’ve been considering trying for #3 soonish but was advised not to start until around 18 months after last c section. Has this been y’all’s experience too?

My doctor told me wait 1 year 😊 my daughter is almost 1 and we are gearing up for another embryo transfer soon

I think 18 months is very typical advice for c-section mamas to really give the uterus time to heal before putting it through another pregnancy. But you might get a second opinion to see if it would be safe to try sooner in your case. None of us can really tell you if your body is ready. Some people have more scar tissue or complications during surgery than others, not everyones healing process is the same. Good luck when you start trying!

We did ivf and have tried for the next baby at exactly 1 year after my c sections. I had one baby feb 2020 and my second baby October 2021
