Recurrent Miscarriages-Hypothyroidism

Leah • 5 Angel Babies 👶🏼 🕊 I have hypothyroidism and have had my thyroid removed. Been ttc since 2019.

I am setting up a pre-conception appointment with my doctor to sit down and talk with him about conceiving.

I have hypothyroidism, when I was 19 I found out I was pregnant and miscarried due to my thyroid levels. I started out hyper and had a full thyroidectomy but not till 2 years after finding out. Within that time I had two more miscarriages. Shortly after surgery I found out I was pregnant again and miscarried but my levels were not being managed.. In May of this year I found out I was pregnant again, unfortunately I found out I was having an ectopic pregnancy after I started bleeding.

I made it the longest I have which was only 6 weeks... I've had 5 miscarriages total...

I'm just so confused and frustrated, I was wondering if anyone else with thyroid conditions has struggled/had recurrent miscarriages? What were your results and did you have to watch anything else besides tsh?

Everyone with thyroid conditions I ask has children and it wasn't a struggle for them they just say as long as your within range for your thyroid levels you'll be fine.. so I feel so alone. My levels were all within range on my most recent miscarriage.
