Cloth Diapers Yes or no

Question

I am wanting some opinions on cloth diapers compared to disposable. Is it worth saving more money to wash the cloth and is there an easy way to clean them. I don’t know anyone personally that has used cloth

They’re not easy to clean no. My cousins wife uses them and yes it saves her money but she said it’s like 6 hours of laundry.

I love cloth diapers.. I use cloth diapers during the day and use disposables at night ( only because they can leak faster than disposables. )

I spent a small fortune (around $500) on all of my cloth diapers, inserts, etc, but in the end it wasn’t for me. I tried all of the expensive and most recommended brands. Funny enough, my favorite was one of the cheaper and more readily available brands (Grovia One), but I still couldn’t handle the leaks and extra cleaning. That was with my first baby and I didn’t have too much laundry at the time, but now that we have 2 kids and 1 on the way I feel like I spend my entire day doing laundry as it is. My husband wasn’t a fan of the cloth diapers either, so I always had to keep disposables on hand anyway. I like Kudos disposables.

I bought gently-used cloth diapers on FB marketplace, and I got 60 diapers for newborn to toddler for about $150. I love the cute patterns, soft fabric, and the huge amount of garbage I'm not producing. Apparently the absorbant chemicals/material used in disposable diapers is carcinogenic, so I'm happy to keep my baby free from that. Plus it helps with early potty training; this is my third baby in cloth and my other two were potty trained before they turned 2! My favorite brands are Kawaii and Tender Tushies. If you're doing cloth diapers, I suggest also doing cloth wipes with baby face cloths because it makes no difference to your laundry routine.

I switched my youngest to cloth about 6 months ago. It is less convenient and i keep some disposables on hand in case of emergency or travel, but i love it for the money saving aspect. It also helps them potty train sooner. I spent $350 to get set up with it and so far i have saved $300, so they have almost paid for themselves and I'll be using them for my next baby in October. I just shopped for what i wanted on Amazon.
