Natural Birth? Positive stories

Now pregnant with my second. I got an epidural with my first at 3 or 4cm. I wanna go all natural this time. I KNOW I can go all natural.. just needing some tips please. What helped you ladies get through it?

Had both of my boys no pain medication. First was induction and i bounced on a exercise ball and listened to music, i would get up and just get into whatever position was comfy. i was smiling at 8cm but crying during transition. My second baby was a water birth and i did the same thing pretty much but had much more freedom of movement,listened to music, and when i got closer to transition i got into the tub where i had him. My advice honestly, make a list of your reasons for going all natural your personal beliefs  and whats important to you. And meditate on it and focus and breathe. Do not let anyone tell you to be quiet, i moaned and groaned alot no screaming just ooooooo ahhhhhhhs lol like meditation. Practically hypnobirthing which i had no idea about until now but i pretty much had that mindset

I’ve had 2 natural births, and actually my second baby was a homebirth that wound up unassisted when she came much more quickly than we were prepared for. Read ina May Gaskin’s guide to childbirth!! It’s amazing!! I love natural birth. I’m allergic to drugs so I never considered anything else as an option and I’m glad. It was the most empowering thing I’ve ever experienced!

I had two all natural births with no medication with my two boys. The few things that helped (only slightly) was relaxing in the tub, standing in the hot shower while my husband rinsed water down my back and when my husband applied pressure to my lower back. Luckily I had quick labors (4 hours with my first and 54 minutes with my second)
Currently 31 weeks pregnant with baby #3. And I’m just hoping I make it to the birthing center in time🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m currently pregnant with 3rd I’m not ruling out epidural but didn’t t have one with either my others. I had gas and air only, my 1st my waters broke and they wouldn’t check me so sent me
Home I had a warm bath and ended up back a hour or so later I asked for a epidural I didn’t know how bad it was going to get as I didn’t know how far I was next thing I wanted to push so the midwife came back checked me I was 10cm had gas and air and got a 3rd degree tear but got sticker up just on gas and air too. 
My 2nd I had a awful back to back labour they wanted to send me home and tried saying I was in early labour and could be days still as my waters didn’t break and the machine wasn’t picking up the contractions as they was in my back not stomach. I begged them to check me so they did she said she could break my waters gave me gas and air but my daughter was born in her waters.

Hip squeezes were the only thing that got me through my first birth that was at a birth center in the tub. I had back labor too. Without someone squeezing the daylights out of my hips I wouldn’t have lasted. 
Now 5 weeks away from my 2nd being born and I’m not afraid to say I’m going in and hoping for an epidural.

I had a completely drug free natural labour with my second and my sixth son's. 
Best advice - accept that you may actually need meds, but hope to not use them. 
Find your cope, for some it's focus, others breathing, others music or mindfulness.
Mine was a mix of breathing and mindfulness. I had a brilliant midwife who saw that I was coping incredibly well and decided that she would be as hands off as possible. Keep the room calm, only have those around you who have no possibility of winding you up / agitating you. 
It is absolutely achievable. I started in labour at 9.20am, waters were broken at midday and our little guy was born at 3.27pm

I’ve had two home water births with no interventions. Hypnobirthing really helped me! I took a class when I was pregnant with my first.
If you’re having a hospital birth, make sure your OB is fully on board with your birth plan. Having a doula is also really helpful if you need someone to advocate for you.

I had 3 kids 2 natural with no meds with my first I had something that dulls the pain but it wasn’t an epidural to the point I was able to sleep through the contractions I had been up for 28 hrs so I needed the rest of I was gonna push her out 🤣 breathing helped alot for me also moving around walking or bouncing on the ball. My third came out in the car on the way to the hospital 🤣

I had an epidural with my first and had planned to do the same with my second, but barely made it to the hospital in time for her birth, so ended up having no choice but to go unmedicated. It definitely hurt a lot more, but the positives are that  it was very empowering and recovery has been a lot easier this time around. I wasn’t in labor for very long, but what helped was breathing through the pain and, when it came time to push, screaming through it (it really helped me focus all my power/energy into pushing as hard as I could).
