I came back positive for chlamydia, does that usually get transmitted from a male partner? Do I need to tell my partner that he needs to clean his junk better?

No, you need to tell him to go to the doctor and get treated for a sexually transmitted infection. Either you or him had sex with someone with the STI and passed it to each-other. 
No amount of “scrubbing or washing” will get rid of it. It’s an infection that needs antibiotics to be treated.

If you were tested before the relationship and came up clean then he cheated. If you didn't test before then you could have had it and gotten it from a previous partner and not known. Either way it's not from him not being clean enough. It's a sexually transmitted infection. You get it by having sex with someone who already has it.

Maam you need to sit him down and have a serious conversation about your relationship... if you arent active with other men then chances are he has cheated and gave you chlamydia. Chlamydia is not a UTI or BV and cannot be transferred due to poor hygiene. Chlamydia is a STI/STD that is obtained from having sex with someone who has it. Whether that be protected or unprotected... do what you will with this information but uh... it seems like you need a new partner.

Unless your hooking up with both guys and girls yes both can have it, it’s not from males only. It’s an STI, is it a possibility you had it this whole time? Girls tend to show zero symptoms really, except for odd color in discharge. Or he’s cheated on you.
