Ovary pain?

G ✨ • Mama to 2 little girls. 2 years old and newborn • May babies

A little backstory I’ve always had worse pain on my right side whenever I ovulate before I got pregnant with my daughter I was having pretty consistent right sided pain during ovulation and periods. When I got pregnant, the first three months, I still had this pain I mentioned it to my midwife she said if it didn’t go away to let her know it but it went away the rest of the pregnancy. I am now four months postpartum, and since my period started up again, I’ve been having terrible right sided ovarian pain.

During the week of my period days two and three it gets pretty bad. I can feel it radiating to my back and down my thigh. Ibuprofen doesn’t help much at all. It seems to pretty much go away by day 4 to 5.

Then again, I get right sided ovarian pain about the middle of my cycle when I typically would ovulate not as bad as when I’m on my period but it’s still noticeable.

This pain is always right sided. It does not switch from left to right and since I’ve had my daughter, it definitely has been worse.

I started a birth control pill at my six week appointment since I started that pill I have had a lot of stomach issues so stomach cramping and diarrhea at least once a week Sometimes more I have been assuming this was from the pill but I’m not sure.

Anyone else experience something like this? I have an appointment with my doctor, but the first available wasn’t until October.
