Bleeding in early pregnancy

Is it common to bleed in early pregnancy? I had a faint positive test the last two days and am now bleeding red and brown with tissue. I had a miscarriage at 5/6 weeks before this which ended a month ago. I don’t know what to think…I feel like it’s a chemical pregnancy and I’m feeling grief all over again. I went to get blood work done today. I should have the results in the morning. God this is hard.
