I want to throw my baby girl a birthday party for her 3rd bday. Theres this tradition that when a girl turns 3 they have like a mini quinceanera party. My husband is not latino so he doesnt know anything about it and everytime i try to explain it he tells me it doesnt make any sense and he feels its just a waste of money bc our kid doesnt know and wont enjoy her party. He tells me im just throwing her a party because i never got one when i was little so im basically doing it for me and not our daughter and he’ll rather travel than throwing a party and i said well we can do both. I just feel if my daughter throws a tantrum that day hes gonna get mad at me and start telling me this is why i told u a party was a waste of money. I told him i will cover ALL the costs of the party plus it will be just very close family which is like 60 people (inlcuding kids) im just very sad i dont count with his support and I just feel if i dont throw her 3 bday im gonna regret it later on :( … for her 1st bday we did her bday at a pizza place bc he didnt want anything big. Her 2nd bday we went to disneyland now for her 3bday i want to throw her an actual bday party :( … i feel i just never get what I want, i didnt get a baby shower, i didnt get a maternity shoot, we didnt do professional newborn pictures, we never do professional family pictures, Why? Because for him everything like that is just a waste of money or doesnt make any sense as to why ppl do that
