About a year ago, I posted I was in an abusive relationship on this very app

My post received a ton of comments

Majority of you told me to just go out and get my license because at the time I was unable to drive because my abusive husband did not want me to drive

I did that my brother taught me to drive within five months of learning. I got my license. My brother purchased my first car and I was stashing money away so I could get out with my children

I left my husband, I got a place of my own and have custody of my children and finally have a job instead of sitting at home

So thank you to everybody on this app for giving me the push that I needed

Because everybody, my friends, my family weren’t supportive they were just like it can be worked out it can’t be that bad, blah blah blah they didn’t see an issue when I was 18 marrying a 33-year-old man

I’m 36 now he’s 50

I don’t get why my family didn’t stop me when I was 18 marrying this OLDER man saying hey this is wrong nobody did everybody just let it happen and everybody just watched

His friends all helped him cheat on me

They were all on his side

When one of his friends roofied me and I told my husband about it I’m pretty sure this is what happened to me I’m pretty sure I was raped. Your mom saying we got home at 4 o’clock in the morning and you guys are telling me we got home at 1 AM make it make sense He said no. It didn’t happen to you and you’re a fucking liar

He has put his hands on me numerous times

The turmoil is over

I never knew how amazing it was to just wake up in the morning and decide I’m gonna run to the gym or I’m gonna go get groceries and I can take my kids to their extracurricular activities and I can go and take my daughter to the movies it’s beautiful
