Sunday morning at 36.6 wks I was having really braxton hicks contractions with low back pain. Just took Tylenol for the back pain. Sunday night they were coming about every 4.5 mins but no pain. Tried sleep it off and hydrate and even took a bath. Nothing really worked by 7 am Monday I was having pain along with the contractions. So we got everything in the car and headed to the hospital. Almost got sent home after iv fluids appeared to stoped what the dr believed to braxton Hickson contractions due dehydration. I questioned why they thought that as I felt I wasnt that dehydrated to have bh feel like labor pain and contractions. However my blood pressure was high when I went in and after having a non-reactive nst and a struggled 6/8 bpp. My blood pressure went back up. It was considered gestational hyper tension. Then he was born via c-section at 37 weeks instead of a planned at 39. He is needing NICU time due to respiratory distress at birth. Only ended up needing a cpap for about 14 hrs. Now we just need him to start feeding on his own and then most every hurdle will be jumped!!
