Crying without tears?

Question

10week old and I notice that he doesn’t really have tears. He doesn’t cry super often but when he does I notice he doesn’t really have tears. 
Has enough wet diapers per day and plenty of drool so I’m not sure if this is something I should worry about?
I will be calling the pediatrician but I wanted to see if other parents experienced this.

It takes awhile for the tear ducts to develop. I’m pretty sure my son didn’t get actual tears until like 3 months old

I experienced the same. Was freaking out thinking he’s dehydrated or something. Then read something about it takes the ducts a while to fully develop. Sure enough. My son is 17 weeks and he cries with tears just fine now.
