Are you a theme family?

Hi lovelies, so I'm shopping today for this weekends family trip to the pumpkin patch. I'm at a thrift-store trying to see if I find things to complete my outfit, and the lady asks what I'm looking for and asks me what the occasion is.

I explain that the whole family is going for an Autumn, orangey/yellowish tone and she looks at me confused, I say "You know when you take family pictures and stuff, how everyone blends together?" She still doesn't understand and I show her pictures like the ones I made into a collage here. She says that's the weirdest things she's never heard of 😂😂. So I guess not everyone does this??? lol, I'm just so used to yearly family pictures and us girls planning certain aesthetics when we get together, plus the men in the family are always up for it, we just do the shopping and tell them what to wear hahaha.

I'm just wondering if any other families out there do what basically is a tradition of ours. This started since we were little, my mom used to match our outfits and since we're 5 sister we always just liked doing so. Just curious if you guys do this as well.

We coordinate for our annual family photos and my husband will try to coordinate with me if we’re going to a wedding or the theater. But other than that, we don’t coordinate or have themes just for regular outings like the apple orchard or something.

Didn’t have my twins yet, but I think I’d do this even without taking photos. I want to look like a “unit” when we’re out together. Might be my own sanity but when I’m out with friends I like for us all to be color coordinated 😅
I also think wearing the same color variation may make it easier to spot in public areas if someone were to get lost or something! Also it’s just nice to look the same sometimes! My mom always dressed my sister and I alike when we went out.

We have never done anything like this, but we were poor. We didn’t have money to be able to make sure we all match. Didn’t have money for the pumpkin patch either lol. Luckily now that I have kids we are able to do stuff but like I’m not going to worry about matching and stuff. I want to actually enjoy my time doing those things and not worrying about clothing. Also I like my kids to be able to dress how THEY want to. They have different styles.
