Colostrum or breast milk?

I started hand expressing colostrum few days ago and got the typical breastyellowish substance, gave it a break for a couple days and now its like a very pale yellow almost white. Just wondering if im starting to produce milk or is it still colostrum? Im 37 weeks pregnant.

Still colostrum. Once you give birth and the placenta detaches, it signals your body to start swapping to milk. It'll take 3-5 days to come in. But your placenta detaching is what starts the milk. Until then it's colostrum.
