Introverted parents with a child
Perhaps because of the way i was raised i am incredibly introverted. (But that is another story.)
I dont really have friends, because of how anti social i am. I avoid social gathering and avoid hanging out with people in general. Social events just feels draining and I like being by myself. Around my own family & my dog.
However my husband is opposite of me, but his friends are more into drinking at pubs or playing games. He socialise very easily with strangers almost like in this world there is no strangers to him only friends he never knew.
But i saw this image on fb today and i really worry my child will turn out like me. Of course I wish the child would be more like his father, good humor and an embracing nature.
But I wfh, whereas my husband work from office. So i will definitely wind up spending more time with my child and I'm afraid i'll impart my anti social tendencies to my child. I genuinely do not believe in letting the child grow by himself I want to nurture the child's as early as possible so he doesn't turn out like me or my 2 other siblings (due to our upbringing we have varying personalities / anti social disorders)
What age and what kind of activities/classes (paid/unpaid) do you think will help build a child social skills?
Especially if you are a parent like me, what steps do you take to help your child without sacrificing your mental health?
