Can your friends track your location with Pokémon Go?

My ex and I are trying to get back together. We broke up because he was becoming controlling but we’re in counseling. However today he randomly threw out the idea to start playing Pokémon go together. I just think it’s really odd because it’s been out for a long time and he’s been playing it since the early stages of the game coming out and hasn’t mentioned it until now. So I’m a little paranoid that he’s trying to use it to get an idea of where I’m at/what I’m doing without being obvious

I dont think you can track real time, but gifts that you give will say where you.go them from. I believe pokemon will say where they were caught too. So if you trade or he looks at your pokemon on your phone, hed be able to see where youve been recently.
