Experience w night nurse? Pls share

Hello 👋

So I’m only 16 weeks along, and this will be our 3rd baby. Our others are 4 and 1 years old.

My husband is telling me that he wants to try and make a night nurse happen for the first 1-3 months of baby being with us. My immediate response is to refuse this, it feels unnatural, also makes me a bit upset w him that he doesn’t want to just push through those hard months w his own child being the caretaker to whatever they need..it creates a sort of guilty feeling in me like what kind of mother am I if I don’t tend to my crying baby.

I know his intentions are all good and coming from a good place. He has to work plus get home and have energy for afternoons/evenings and he is genuinely concerned for my quality of sleep.

My actual question 😂:

Has anyone worked with a night nurse? How was the experience? Did you struggle with similar emotions?
