favorite essential oils?! Baby friendly

I have a diffuser I haven’t put to use in a good while and I’m also due in 2 weeks so I was thinking of purchasing a essential oil today (instead of a plug in) to have our room smelling good for when baby comes. Which ones do you guys recommend?! Are any kind okay to use with newborns?

No essential oils at all for newborns. Airways are too sensitive. None of them are to be used under 4m old. 
Essential oils are for medical reasons. Not for smelling at all. Baby is not going to care one way or another what the house smells like.

I would avoid all essential oils for a baby’s room. In the general house, you can use lavender after 4 months old, but I wouldn’t do it too strong. An essential oil/water spray vs a diffuser in your home is a safer option when they are young as it’s not circulating in the air the same way. I’ve used a diffuser in our kitchen with lavender since around 6 months old
