norethindrone acetate for endometriosis

Hello all! I have stage 4 endo. And it’s been getting pretty bad lately after having two kids. I feel like I have abdominal pain almost every day now. My doctor recommended I try norethindrone acetate. Has anyone taken this to help their endo? I’m looking at possible side effects and it makes me nervous. I don’t really want just a bandaid over the problem and then to later cause more issues. So any insight to taking this would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏼💖🫶🏼
