I’m a teacher and I’ve been on maternity leave for 10 weeks, my employer gave me 12 weeks to spend time with the baby, (baby is 8 weeks). I went today to my job site so my co-workers can see the baby because they’ve been wanting to see him. I was there for 4 hours and as soon as I leave, my boss fires me through text message.

I’ve been debating on not going back to work after maternity leave because I wanted to spend the year with my baby, and not miss a milestone but damn, she fired me like that?

It’s bittersweet for me but can’t believe she would do that to me after working for her for 5 years…
