Will the school call CPS on me over what my 14 year old son is doing?

My boys are 14 and 13. They don't get along and my 14 year old son is a bit of a jerk. My 13 year old son has started telling his teacher that his brother bullies him and I've gotten calls from two of his teachers. I don't consider what's going on as bullying. I think he's just picking on him because that's what siblings do. One of his teachers today said my son has a lot of bruises from his older brother. I said "Did you not have siblings growing up?" Me and my sisters didn't get along and sometimes things got nasty. It's not like I just let him hurt his brother all the time but I do understand that that's just siblings. I did talk to my son about it and said I'll try to talk to his brother but when he's telling his teachers how he is it makes it come off like he's being abused. Now I'm worried. Can they call CPS on me for his brother who's barely a year older than him being a jerk? Would CPS even do anything if they did call?

It seems you need to set serious consequences for your oldest. I am the youngest of 6 kids and although we would argue we never hit each other. It is never okay to hit a sibling. Your son is probably going to his teachers because he feels you are not doing enough to protect him. I think you need to change the "its a sibling thing" mentality because you are down playing the feelings of the son that is getting hit. It would be unfortunate for him to blow up.. so step in now before things get worse.

You’re more worried about cps being called than your son hitting and causing injuries to your son. It’s not just a sibling thing. Your 14 year old needs consequences and maybe even therapy, what happens when he gets older? This is where abusive men start.

Picking on someone is one thing. Regularly having bruises from someone is another. Your son is confiding in teachers and showing his bruises, likely because he realizes you will dismiss it if he told you. 
I think you’re downplaying this. I don’t know if CPS could or would be involved, so I can’t speak to that, but if your son is feeling abused and scared, I hope they’d at least look into it. If it was anyone else but your son who was leaving bruises on him, what action would you take?

That’s not sibling rivalry or whatever when your eldest is being so physical he is bruising his brother to the point where the teachers have to step in and your making excuses 
You need to put an end it to before it does escalate to the point of serious consequence 
Maybe this will make you realised how not O’K his behaviour is and do something about it

Please handle this situation. My mom was always like that "Oh it's just siblings being siblings" No. The moment there's no balance and 1 sibling holds power and is always on top, that's bullying. People are worried about his bruises.. momma, that shounds a lot like domestic abuse to me.
Sounds about right, if nothing is done, they might and they absolutely should call CPS.

Bruising and physically harming his brother is one thing. 1 year can make a huge difference, mentally and physically. I had 5 siblings growing up and we were not hurting one another leaving BRUISES. 
I have 3 kids with 2 more are the one and I’ll definitely not allow my children to hurt one another neither physically or mentally. Bullying is serious and how unfortunate your younger son is being bullied at home by someone who should love him. You need to have a serious talk with your oldest and set serious boundaries. Get counseling or whatever help you may need because the situation is serious mama! Not sure how you don’t see the severity after several talks with teachers /:

It sounds like you’re more worried about a CPS call than you are about your younger sons, physical, mental, and emotional health. I would not say that it was typical for an older sibling to leave marks on their younger sibling. That’s violent behavior. Get your oldest under control, or CPS will be the least of your issues, long term.
