My boyfriend caught Gonorrhea

Hi ladies,

We’ve been together for 4 years and have two kids together. With my first child who was born by vaginal in 2021, I was tested for all the STD’s including Gonorrhea and the test was negative. I just gave birth to my second child by c-section in September 2023 and I tested negative for gonorrhea in March 2023 in the earlier stages of the pregnancy.

November 3rd, he went out of town on a business trip. That same day before he left, he said the tear in his foreskin was hurting so he put Vaseline on it. He said after he put the Vaseline on the tear, (the Vaseline was expired but he didn’t notice) he started to discharge the same day he put the vaseline on. He told me about the discharge after he came back from the trip November 4th. he said it started to discharge that same day he left on November 3rd, after he put the Vaseline on.

He came to me telling me again his foreskin has a cut but this time pus/discharge was leaking out and we thought maybe his foreskin ripped a little and got infected. I remember a few months back he was complaining about his foreskin hurting after we’ve had sex but it was no discharge at the time. Now November 5th my boyfriend tested positive for gonorrhea. So now I’m trying to wrap my head around how he got gonorrhea? A few years maybe 2-3 years before I met him I caught gonorrhea from my ex but it was cured and I have test results to prove I was negative the past 4 years we’ve been together so is it possible for gonorrhea to come back even though I was cured years ago and the test showed negative back in March 2023? I got tested while I was pregnant with my second child and my first child as well, in 2021 and this year in 2023.

I also had a emergency C-section with my second child, can that be the reason for gonorrhea to come back? I know it sounds crazy but my boyfriend is steady saying he did not have sex with anyone nor received oral sex. He’s constantly denying and said he’s confused on how he caught it cause he never had it before.

He went out of town in September for 2 weeks as well. So idk if he cheated then and the symptoms are finally starting to show, idk if he cheated while he was home, idk if he cheated a few days ago while he was out of town this month. I have no idea what’s going on. If he’s keep denying he cheated, where the hell did a whole STD come from? Gonorrhea at that!
