Curly hair help

Hi I’m a first time mommy with a baby boy that has curly hair. I don’t have curly hair myself so I’m all new to this, he gets his curly hair from his dad. I’m wondering how to care for his type of curls and what products I should be using? He’s 7months old and the older he’s getting his hair is starting to get curlier on its own. Right now I’ve been using regular dove shampoo no conditioner should I be using conditioner for his hair? Any tips to take care of his curls?
