Is it safe to still have sex on the placebo pill week?

Like I’m new to bc after having my kid and if I skip the placebo week then I just continuously bleed and I have to stop my bc until I stop bleeding and then I’m not safe for two weeks after starting again and that’s really annoying

"The pill works by preventing your ovaries from releasing eggs — a process called ovulation. If ovulation doesn’t happen, then no egg is present for sperm to join with - a process called fertilization. If fertilization doesn’t happen, then you can’t get pregnant. So even during the week that you’re not taking the pill, you’re protected from pregnancy". You don't skip the placebo pills unless you're going straight into the active pills. If youre going straight to the active pills you could potentially skip your period but maybe have spotting. The combination birth control pill is supposed to be taken every day at the same time and you're protected after 7 days of consecutive use.

Totally safe to on the placebo week. You wouldn’t think so but if you’ve taken the rest of the pills like you’re supposed to, you’re fine. It essentially tricks your body, and by the time your body even “thinks” about ovulating, you take the next pill in the new pack after placebo week. Just make sure you’ve read your pill packet instructions and if you’re having any trouble, always talk to your doctor :)

You’re taking your pill incorrectly. Take one pill every day regardless of bleeding. 
If you’re not taking your pill right you’re not protected on your placebo week. If you’re taking it right, you’re protected.
