How long did it take for you to get over your first love?

I’m not 100% sure I had one yet. I mean the guy I thought I loved looking back it was more of an obsession or infatuation bc I feel like you can relive someone unless it’s mutual

I'm still with him. We've been together since we were 15 and are going on 12 years.

We met at 16 and 17 and had a year of intense love and friendship and parted as friends. In his words ‘you were so wild and no one could tame you’. I just wanted to live life. 
Our paths crossed again in our early 20s and again… I was wild, living my best life. And again, I said no. We parted as friends.
We never did get over each other. We had other relationships, children. But both always thought of each other.
Then 23 years after we originally met we matched on tinder. Finally … I was ready. He moved in part time after our first date. Full time after 6 months. And it’s been the most wonderful time.
Sometimes your first love is your true love, you just need to live your lives apart & will come be b together when the time is right.

I was 13 he was 16 we weren’t allowed to see each other and what made it worse was when my parents found out I was going to sleep with him, I know 13 was a bad age to try and do anything like that but I felt like he was the one. I was forced to break up with him but we got back in touch when I was 16 and he was 19. Unfortunately I did end up losing my v card to him and that’s all he wanted because soon after he broke up with me. I hate him for that because I felt used but he was my first and I still think about him from time to time but deep down I still hate him for what he did. He did try and apologize when I was almost 18 after years of not talking to him, but I felt it wasn’t truly sincere he only wanted his self to feel better after what he did to me.
