My mom has always dreamed of being the main caregiver for her grandchildren. However I just don't think she's cut out for it. She frequently does not wake up on time and I have to wake her up most mornings of the week. Sometimes even if by calling and texting her she needs me to in person wake her up. I don't want to say she's lazy because she's not but she isn't as diligent as I would hope for. She almost never cleans up toys or makes the kids help put things away. To the point where you can barely get in the house because there are toys and boxes everywhere. A few times there has been Sharpie written all over the walls and she won't have noticed. And I got a preschool activity book and she gets frustrated with me asking her to pick a few activities per week to do. Like I want to motivate myself to Value everything she does do but at the same time it just gets old to come home to a trash house and have to wake her up every morning.
