Is this a bad Christmas gift?

For my boyfriend’s dad, my dad and grandpa, my boyfriend and I were just going to get them bath and body works body wash, cologne and lotion (all men scents) plus a $25 gift card each for their favorite restaurant. Is this a bad gift idea for men? Men are hard to shop for and I’m going to bath and body works anyway to get my mom, my boyfriend’s mom and my grandma candles/body care so I thought it would be an easy gift.

Get them a gift tailored to them specifically. A bath and body gift is not, in my opinion, a good gift. 
Gifts are meant to be personal and useful. Getting three different people the same gift is not thoughtful, it’s more gifting just to gift. 
Ask about their hobbies, or for an Amazon wishlist.

You know them better than random internet strangers. The gift card to their favorite restaurant is personal and a good idea. BBW stuff feels like filler. Most people, especially men, I know are a bit picky when it comes to those types of products. My husband and dad would never use items from BBW.

I don't know (personally) any men who actually like bbw products but I also don't know the men in your life so they might. Me personally I'd just spend more towards the gift card and skip the other stuff. Either way I'm sure they will appreciate the gift

Gift cards good but honestly I don’t know any men in my life who would really care about bath and body works soap or lotions. Maybe try and go with snacks/drinks they like to go with the gift cards. Or lottery tickets are always fun!

Bath and body works has some good men’s body wash, cologne and lotion in my opinion. But the thing about stuff like that is not everyone might like the scents that you find to smell good. So it’s a tough thing to shop for. I’d try to find out what they already like or use and go based off that. If not, just giving them more money on a gift card might suffice.
