Some we live on the 2nd floor of this apartment building. It's my husband, my 12 year old, my 2 year old, and me. We have been the first people to move here. The people downstairs are 20 years old. They wrote a note basically saying they trust us to handle our kids and control them. They saying we better not make noise between 10:30pm to 6am. They said they have a life and they said we stomp around up here all night. I like to add my floor is super old. The floor makes noises as soon as you take one step. Everyone is in bed in my house way before 10pm but 10pm would be the latest for my husband and I. They said they are woken up everyday between 4am to 6am. My husband gets up everyday at 4:30am to get ready for work. By 5:20 we are out the house. We have one car. I am back by 6 am or a little after. The people downstairs are already up because they let a lady move in downstairs who has kids. The kids get ready for school super early. My husband is not gonna change his work schedule to accommodate for these people. They moved in 5 months ago. My husband has always had this schedule monday-thursdays getting up early. My husband is a skinny man. He barely makes noise. Yet these people are complaining. I'm upset because I never complain about these people. They smoke weed in their apartment and the smell comes up. They let a relative and her two kids move in. The property manager doesn't know they live here. That lady with the kids is getting welfare and is using my apartment number as her address. They like to blast music all the time and have parties/get togethers. I never complained on the summer as we are trying to walk in the building with our kids they rolling up blunts and lighting them. When their family visits a few times a month for a weekend or a week they bring a dog. Animals are not allowed in this building. I don't complain when they get drunk and are loud outside. Yet they want to put all the noise blame on my kids. They are the middle apartment. The lady who lives in the basement comes in super late but leaves super early in the morning. Her music is so loud we hear it all the way up here. They don't say anything to her. I will admit my child does play and run around the house during the day when we are home. We pay rent too. I don't feel I should have to change anything with my lifestyle if I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm pregnant so I go pee a few times in the middle of the night and apparently that's a problem cuz it wakes them up. They slam the front door everytime they open it. No matter if it's during the day or during the night. Smfh!!! I wanted to confront these young people but I feel it's gonna go really bad. I definitely have a mouth on me. My husband wants to write them a note. Now he saying to just do whatever we want and ignore them. Now these people have made it awkward. It's almost Christmas and these people want to play like they don't do illegal shit in this building/they don't make noise. Another thing that irritates me is since we get up so early by 9am to 2pm my son takes a nap. Then we leave. We don't come back till 2-3 hours later. These people barely deal with my son walking around. Plus, he sleeps all night. Smfh. Fuckin annoying.
