My birth story baby #2
Baby boy was born on June 2. He was a scheduled induction. He was to be born on the second no matter what. He was 38 weeks had to be induced due to GD.
In the morning I was given a pill to start labor. Doctors send me home to wait it out. This was at 9am. 15-20 later I started feeling contractions.
My husband thought it was funny and we joked for a bit. That was his first seeing me in that state. Due to COVID he was no aloud in the hospital with our first and I was also induced do he never saw anything. About 11am I start feeling the contractions back to back about 5min apart The hospital was only 15 minutes away but by then my contractions had no space in between them. When they checked me I was only 2-3 cm dilated. at this point I wanted to push but was advised not to. The hospital apparently only had one doctor on call for deliveries and advised we should wait 5 more min. In those 5 min I only dilated 5 cm and the pain was unbearable and I was telling them he needs to get out and at this point I don’t care if it’s a c-section. Some paper work had to be filled out and my husband told the look we can deal with that later she needs help like 20 minutes ago.
I am taken to the birthing room getting ready for a c-section and the doctor says let me just check your dilation one last time. He checked and says “okay you are not having a c-section your 10cm. I see hair. your baby is coming now.”
Two pushes he was out, very small tear. Baby David was born at 12:35. 51cm 3.5kl. The cord was knotted but was never shown on the sonograms.
He is 6 months now ready to celebrate his first Christmas.
