I am due to get my IUD replaced or taken out in a few months. I’m contemplating letting my body do its own thing for a while after I get it removed. The main reason is because I haven’t gotten a period since 2019 when I got it implanted. What do you think? Did anyone have issues conceiving after being on the hormonal IUD without any periods? Did it take a while for your period to return? I’m on the mirena.

I’m happily single but I do plan on starting a family one day and I’m just weighing the options. I’m not looking forward to periods again lmao! I have a few months and will clearly talk to my gyn about it too, but wanted to hear some thoughts from other women! The prospect of being pregnant any time soon is pretty slim so I’m not super concerned with an accidental pregnancy in the mean time. When I got off of the pill, I didn’t get a regular period for a WHILE. And, again, being single is fine with me so I’d have to go through other routes if I wanted to be pregnant without a relationship (or foster/adopt). There’s no telling what will happen in the future, though - so who knows!
