Potty training tips?

My boy turns 3 in March, and we have decided to start potty training during the christmas holiday to take advantage of the two weeks break and the hot summer weather ( we live in southern hemisphere).  Does anyone have any tips	ricks to help make the process smoother? TIA

Answer

Some swear by the method of having them without any kind of pants the first few days and then loose pants and then underwear and pants. 
But our daughter refused to be naked so we just used underwear straight away and it was fine 😊
Have a potty near by where you are playing perhaps. Read small books about potty training and dont get mad when there is an accident..
