How often a couple should have sex?

Well i.move in with my partner and all he thinks and wants to do is Sex ,sex and sex, in the middle.of the night, before bedtime, in the morning and everytime he gets a boner just by hugging .Sometimes all i want is to have intimacy without sex. Anyone living a situation like this?

So communicate with him. This is pretty normal and typical when you first start living with someone. My SO was the same way and i had to talk to him. You do realize you can say no right? Just because he gets a boner multiple times a day does not mean you have to have sex. He can masturbate or just let it go down on its own. If it were up to my SO we would still now years later be having sex multiple times a day. Its up to hoth of us though and i tell him when im not in the mood. Im also not ok to be woken up in the middle of the night for sex. If I'm asleep take care of yourself and let me sleep. These are things that need to be talked about with your partner. So you set expectations and boundaries early on. Otherwise this will continue and if its too much its too much.

There is no should. It will change with every relationship and will often vary over the duration of a relationship. Me and my husband at times have done at least every day if not twice a day ro points of life where it's a few times a month. As long as both sides are happy and ok with it thats all that matters. Sex isn't the only needed intimacy so if we didnt have actual intercourse often we made other forms of intimacy priority. Holding hands or talking, rubbing his back in the store while we grocery shop with the kids, giving more kisses throughout the day...that stuff matters too. Frequency will vary between every couple though and thats normal
