Std question

Is it possible to only get one std from a partner even if they have more?

I tested negative for gonorrhea and positive for chlamydia so PPH says he only needs treatment for that. I thought maybe he should still get std panel in case of other things or is it definite he only has what I tested positive for because I would have had everything?
