7 lbs 10oz big?

My ultrasound tech said my son is measuring 7 lbs 10oz, and tomorrow I’m 37 WKS. He said that considered big and he thinks considering his weight I’m probably diabetic right now 
😣 Please give me some positive thoughts.

He sounds like an idiot. Weights are notoriously wrong at this stage of pregnancy & a big baby doesn’t mean GD

My son was measuring at 8 lb. 13 oz. at 37 weeks. I was 40+1 when I had him and he was exactly 8 lb. 13 oz. Lol. I wouldnt be too concerned about the weight as it's not 100% accurate. (:

Did you pass the glucose test? I don’t see why he’d say you’re “probably diabetic” solely based off of your baby’s weight?! I understand that can make babies heavier but strange of him to say after just an estimated weight. Also, my son was estimated to be 5lb11oz and was born 3 days later at 5lb3oz. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My baby was measuring 7lbs 11oz at 36 weeks… I have gained only 30 lbs in pregnancy and do not have gestational diabetes. My providers didn’t suspect that or suggest that to me! Some babies are just big. GD definitely increases risk for having a large baby but it’s not the only cause.

With my 2nd I got induced at 37 weeks and she was 7.9 when born and I had gestational diabetes. It is on the larger side.

Thank you so much for that, he really ticked me off 😒 , he’s just the sit in doctor that was feeling in for the original doc that was on vacation. Yea he told me lol that and then was like but don’t worry 😠
